OPERATIKA 'Going Through A Major Transformation'
June 21, 2012New Jersey-based symphonic/power metallers OPERATIKA have issued the following update:
"To stop any ongoing rumors, we'd like to let everyone know that our band is going through a major transformation but please stay tuned for a lot more news to come soon. We'll reveal details on the changes, new musicians involved, what we are getting ready to do and our plans for the future. Thanks for your ongoing support!"
OPERATIKA's debut album, "The Calling", was released in Europe in October 2008 through Scarlet Records. According to a press release, the album has been described as "the perfect combination of singer Slava Popova's harmonious operatic vocals, powerful guitar riffs and solos, melodic keyboard harmonies, intense bass (handled by Michael LePond of SYMPHONY X) and fierce drumming" — a "must-have for every fan of NIGHTWISH, STRATOVARIUS, HELLOWEEN, CHILDREN OF BODOM and PRIMAL FEAR."
OPERATIKA has previously shared the stage with such internationally renowned artists as NIGHTWISH, HELLOWEEN, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, TWISTED SISTER, STRATOVARIUS, SONATA ARCTICA, SEBASTIAN BACH and KAMELOT.
OPERATIKA's "Dreamworld" four-song EP came out in 2005.
